Please note that our public offices will be closed in observance of the holiday. While our offices may be closed, our deputies remain on patrol and committed to keeping our community safe 24/7.

This week is National Police Week, which focuses on honoring fallen officers who have paid the ultimate price in service to the public. Once again, the Shasta County Sheriff's Office will join our allied agencies in remembering those Shasta County officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Recently, the Shasta County Board of Supervisors adopted a proclamation designating Thursday, May 14, as "Peace Officers' Memorial Day."

PRESS RELEASE
2026 SHASTA COUNTY PEACE OFFICER MEMORIAL

In years past we have been honored to take part in a great event called “Lunch with Community Helpers”. This year, the organizers joined forces with other amazing community organizations to combine it into a larger “Touch a Truck” event earlier this month at the Intermountain Fairgrounds.

Some of our Sheriff’s Office volunteers and deputies were on hand to interact with community members and to get to know a few more of our fellow community helpers.

Thank you for the invitation…we can’t wait until next year!
