ark staff year-round; however, Lakeland Park is home-base for the park department. Lakeland Park is equipped with a swimming and fishing lake, baseball diamond, basketball court, volleyball court, and much more. With affordable season and daily passes available, this is a great summer getaway for families. Bolinger Park is a smaller neighborhood park but great location for playgrounds and picnic shelters. Bolinger Park is located on Tonya Street off of Highway 20.

Burns Harbor Parks are OPEN!
As we continue cleanup efforts, please stay out of all areas marked with caution tape. These areas may still contain hazards, and we appreciate everyone helping us keep the parks safe.
We are incredibly grateful for the many members of our community who have reached out and offered to help with cleanup. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Burns Harbor Park Department at 219-787-8126 so we can coordinate where help is needed and ensure everyone can work safely.
Thank you for your patience, support, and willingness to help our community.

PARK STORM CLEANUP UPDATE

Our crews are working daily to clean up the damage caused by the recent storm and to get the park back into safe condition.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone in our community who has reached out and offered to help. Your willingness to lend a hand means so much to us!

At this time, however, there are still areas that are not safe for community volunteers. Our crews need to complete the initial cleanup and address potential hazards before we can safely welcome additional help.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we continue working hard to restore the park. We will provide another update when it is safe for community members to assist.
