Dear Laramie County Residents,

On behalf of our town and our community, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to vote and support the Sixth Penny propositions in the recent election.

For small towns like ours, Sixth Penny funding is incredibly important. These funds provide opportunities for communities to complete projects, make necessary improvements, maintain and upgrade infrastructure, and invest in facilities and services that might otherwise be beyond the reach of a small-town budget.

Every project made possible through Sixth Penny funding represents an investment in our community and in the future of the people who live here. Your support helps give small towns the ability to improve our communities, address important needs, and continue moving forward.

I also recognize that voting is an important responsibility, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who took the time to participate in the election. Whether you live in one of our small towns or elsewhere in Laramie County, your support for these propositions makes a meaningful difference to communities like ours.

WHAT AN AWESOME NIGHT!!! Thank you to everyone who came out to make this years Neighborhood Night Out Amazing!!! A special thank you to Laramie County Fire District #6 for bringing out the cool trucks, Burns Lions Club for cooking and serving the food, Laramie County Sheriff's Office for hosting such an awesome event, Town of Burns, Wyoming (hehe) for providing all the food, and Hannah and Kenneth West for providing the bounce houses!!!

From the Town Council and myself I want to say Thank You to our local Burns Lions Club for all the hard work and determination it took to rehab our towns gazebo!!! It came out amazing will be a vital piece to this year’s Burns Day events!!! To everyone who worked on it you’ve done amazing and we couldn’t be prouder!!!

Posting on behalf of the Burns Booster Club:

Parents, the Burns Booster club is putting on Post Prom April 18th, from 11:00 pm to 3:00 am at the North gym, Burns WY.

There will be games, prizes, food, drinks, and music. Pancake breakfast will start at 2:00 am.

If your child is too tired to drive home we do have drivers who can take them home. Please fill out the permission slip if you would like your child to go to Post Prom.

Just like Prom, Post Prom is for Junior/Seniors and their dates. If your child is a Freshman or Sophomore or out of town dates/non BHS student attending prom with a Junior or Senior please fill out the permission slip.

***Your Junior/Senior and their date who are going to post prom need to have a permission slip filled out. That is their ticket into Post Prom.***

If you are a Burns HS junior or senior and do not want to go to prom you are still welcome at post prom, HOWEVER, you will NEED to have a waiver signed by your parent to get in.

We also will have people available to give your child a ride home if they are to tired to drive.

Burns Booster Club is hosting Post Prom will be held at the North Gym, Burns WY from 11:00 pm to 3:00 am. Music, games, prizes, and food all provided by the Booster Club, Ranch Eats, Josie Creamery, and Oasis.
