Opportunities to travel overseas.

Tucker the 4-H Dog has exciting news for anyone interested in international opportunities! Applications are due December 1st for Oregon 4-H members wanting to travel for four to eight weeks during the summer of 2023 on an outbound exchange program. The country options this year are Japan, Costa Rica, and South Korea. There are also scholarships available. This adventure of a lifetime is offered to 4-H youth ages 12-18 for Japan and South Korea and 15-18 for Costa Rica.

The Impact of 4-H on Adolescent Thriving
4-H helps youth thrive and we want to show how it does! Dr. Mary Arnold, who is one of our state 4-H specialists in Corvallis will be conducting a research study with 4-H youth this fall to determine the ways that 4-H positively impacts youth. 4-H members who are 14 or 17 years of age this 4-H year will be invited to participate in this important study. In early October, parents of youth who are selected for the study will receive an informational letter inviting youth to participate. The survey will be conducted on-line, so it is pretty easy to do. Youth just need to log on and complete the survey. We hope everyone who is invited to participate will do so, and help us tell the story of 4-H!
