Silvies River Charter School is a free, K-12 Virtual Charter School that is regionally accredited by AdvancED. Silvies River Charter School is available to all students in Oregon. We offer an interactive and individualized learning environment to all students. Students and families can utilize our fully virtual curriculum and/or families can choose to educate their children with support of our teachers through participation in our alternative curriculum option.

I have had the privilege of teaching for the last 17 years. I truly enjoy building strong relationships with my students and their families. I believe that when students feel supported and connected, they are more confident learners. I am especially passionate about helping students develop a love for reading and encouraging them to explore books that spark their curiosity and imagination.

When I'm not teaching, I spend most of my time with my husband and three young boys. Our family loves exploring the outdoors, reading stories together, being creative, and staying active. You can often find us visiting our favorite place, Sunriver. These experiences inspire my love of learning and creativity, which I enjoy bringing into the classroom.

I am 5th generation Oregonian, and have called Crook County home for 30 years. I'm currently a Mom and Grammie, and raise registered Hereford cattle. I have filled a lot of different roles in education, from Custodian and Bus Driver, to Librarian and Attendance Secretary, to Teacher. I took a different path for a dozen years, working in Youth Development and operating a nonprofit Equine Assisted Therapy program, where our horses support people who are facing challenges in their lives. I couldn't be more excited to be back with a school, joining a team of educators that work hard to put together programs that meet the needs of young people as the unique individuals they are. I enjoy working with students, supporting them as they learn to think independently, conquer challenges, make important decisions and find their path forward as their best selves.

Hello! I am a Nevada native from Minden, Nevada- I grew up with Lake Tahoe as my backyard being only 20 minutes up the mountain! Staying close to home I received most of my education from the University of Nevada, Reno. My M.A.T program was done through Sierra Nevada College located in Lake Tahoe! After bouncing around the West Coast my husband and I returned to his childhood home in Lakeview, Or. There we have two wild children, a pile of animals, and full hearts! My favorite subject to teach is physical science- get a little bit of biology, chemistry, and physics all wrapped in one!

I have been teaching for 10 years as a grades 7–12 agricultural sciences & CTE teacher and FFA advisor. I am also the head volleyball coach at Enterprise High School. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Gus, and our two children, Madilynn (MJ) and Asher, who are 4 and 2.5 years old. In my free time, I love being outdoors hunting, hiking, playing pickleball and volleyball, and enjoying anything coffee related!
