First Friday Family Fun is for parents, too.

While kids enjoy activities and time together, we want parents to have a chance to grab a cup of coffee or tea, meet another Silvies family, ask a question, or simply sit and visit for a bit.

There’s no formal schedule you have to follow. Come together, stay as long as it works for your family, and head home when you’re ready.

Activities focus primarily on K–5, but the whole family is welcome.

There’s something about gathering around a good book.

During First Friday Family Fun, we’ll stop for story time at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30 and 1:30.

Each month we’ll choose a special Story Time Book of the Month—and families who join us will have a chance to win a copy to take home!

You don’t have to be there for every story. Pick the time that works for your family, drop in, and join us.

One of the best parts of First Friday Family Fun? You don’t have to arrive at a certain time or stay until the end.

Drop in when it works for your family. Stay for a story. Have some coffee. Let the kids spend some time together. Meet another Silvies family. Then head out whenever you need to.

Activities are geared primarily toward K–5, but younger and older siblings are welcome. First Friday is a whole-family event, not a drop-off program.

What are you doing the first Friday of the month?

We’re starting First Friday Family Fun—a casual drop-in time for Silvies families to spend time together and connect.

Come for 20 minutes or stay awhile. We’ll have activities geared toward K–5, story time at half past each hour, refreshments, and coffee and tea for parents.

Younger siblings? Bring them. Older siblings? Bring them too. This one is for the whole family.

Tomorrow is our last day of our Back to School Scholastic Book Fair at the Salem Cunningham LC!

Families are welcome to drop in at the learning center anytime between 10-3 to shop on Friday.
**Keep in mind, we are not taking cash payments, but we can process payments via card & tap to pay.

If you can't make it in this week, we will have another Scholastic Fair again in the Winter and the Spring as well.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is coming to The Cunningham Learning Center in Salem on August 24-28. This is the event that excites kids about reading and earns funds for our school!
