Mississippi residents can enjoy a license-free fishing weekend this summer during National Fishing and Boating Week.
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks said the statewide celebration will take place June 6–14. As part of the event, residents may fish without a sport fishing license on June 6 and 7, which have been set aside as Free Fishing Days.

Attention all students, we cordially invite you to visit the Old Courthouse Museum on June 11 at 1:00 pm to engage in an educational experience featuring crocodiles, tortoises, reptiles, lizards, and some unexpected highlights. Arriving early is recommended to secure a prime viewing position. This program is sponsored by Tri- State Foundation.
