Just checking in to let everyone know that the Bookmobile and Outreach van (and their driver) made it through the storm safe and sound. Hope everyone out there is holding up ok. I've sure been thinking of all of you. I'm not sure when services will resume, but if you need anything at all (not just books) you can reach me here or text me at 307-690-1297. I hope to start checking in on folks individually as soon as possible.

Yancey Public Library and Avery Morrison Public Library have wifi available from the parking lots, and will be opening soon with limited hours. Mitchell County Public Library and Spruce Pine Public Library are closed until further notice. We'll keep you updated as things evolve!!

Oh, we have had such an incredible summer with all of our friends and wonderful families. Thank you for making it such a success! We also want to thank all of our performers, storytellers, partners, musicians, and scientists! Thank you to our Children's Librarian Natasha Shannon and to Jamie McCabe, our resident Archeologist, when he's not delivering books on the Bookmobile & Outreach van! Thank you to all our librarians who helped make it happen. Thanks mostly to the kiddos who keep reading and making magic happen when they interact with us.
