We invite our community Veterans and their families to join us September 10th, at our Mountain Vets Connect Fall Festival. Located at the Masonic Lodge, 23 Robertson Street, Burnsville. Starting at 6pm (1800 hours) and ending at 8pm (2000 hours). This is a FREE event. We will begin with a dinner of Chili and fixings, then have fun at some indoor/outdoor carnival games.

Don’t forget: tomorrow, Thursday August 13, at 1800 hours (6pm), Mountain Vets Connect will meet for our monthly Family Game Night.

Where: 23 Robertson Street, Burnsville (the Masonic Lodge)

Time: 1800-2000 hours

What: BINGO night. Theme is “Gone Fishing”, so feel free to dress for the theme!

Dinner: Hotdogs, Chips, Oranges, and Dessert made by Nina Miller! Drinks also provided.

Cost: Absolutely FREE (though we do accept donations for the food)!

Games: BINGO! If you would like to contribute towards prizes, just bring a random item from your home or the Dollar Tree! 😄

Don’t forget!! Today is the ANNUAL PICNIC!

Please join us (any Veterans and their families in the community, not just paid DAV/A members)!

Today, at Ray Cort Park (beside the public swimming pool) in the Large Pavilion. Starts at 3pm!

Tea, Burgers and Hot Dogs are provided. Lots of other sides and fixings will be brought by members.

On July 15, 2026, the Department of Veterans Affairs and Mountain Home National Cemetery will host a solemn Unaccompanied Veterans Ceremony for Marsha Bishop, U.S. Air Force.

The ceremony will take place at the MHNC Annex committal shelter at 3:00 p.m., and will be accompanied by brief remarks, a moment of silence, and the playing of Taps.
