We are so fortunate to have dedicated leaders who go above and beyond to support our students, staff, and families. Their commitment, compassion, and leadership help make Pleasantdale such a special place to learn and grow.

We officially opened our new student patio area at Pleasantdale Middle School!

Thanks to the generosity of our 8th Grade Committee, our students now have a fantastic outdoor space to gather, connect, and enjoy some fresh air!

A huge thank you to the 8th Grade Committee for this wonderful gift that will benefit Pleasantdale students for years to come!

It was a chilly AND chilling night at PES! 🎃👻❄️

Our Trunk or Treat was filled with creative trunks, amazing costumes, and plenty of Halloween fun!

A huge thank-you to our PTO for organizing such a fantastic event and to all of our participants who went above and beyond with their spooktacular trunks! We loved seeing our school community come together for a fun-filled evening! 🧡🖤

🇺🇸 From the Revolutionary War to Modern-Day Military History!

Our Pleasantdale 8th graders kicked off another incredible morning in Washington, D.C., exploring our nation’s history!

Our first stop was the National Museum of the United States Army, where students learned about America’s armed conflicts, the sacrifices of our service members, and the important role the U.S. Army has played throughout our nation’s history.

Next, we traveled to George Washington’s Mount Vernon, where students explored the life and legacy of our nation’s first president. We learned about Washington’s leadership during the Revolutionary War and his important role in shaping our new nation.

What an amazing opportunity for our students to experience the history they’ve studied in the classroom firsthand!

🇺🇸 An evening of history, reflection, and remembrance in Washington, D.C.!

Tonight, our students explored our nation’s founding documents, learned about the immigrant experience at the Milken Center, and visited the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

We wrapped up the evening at the Lincoln Memorial, reflecting on the history, sacrifices, and stories that have shaped our nation.

What an incredible opportunity for our students to experience history firsthand, honor those who came before us, and gain a deeper appreciation for the people and events that shaped America! 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 A jam-packed morning exploring our nation’s history and government in Washington, D.C.!

We kicked things off with a tour of the U.S. Capitol, where students learned about Congress and explored the historic National Statuary Hall. 🏛️

Next, we headed to the Library of Congress, where a highlight was seeing Thomas Jefferson’s personal library!

We wrapped up our time on Capitol Hill with some great photo opportunities at the U.S. Supreme Court and the Capitol Building. 📸

What an incredible opportunity for our students to see history, government, and the places they’ve learned about in the classroom come to life!

🏛️✈️👻 From museums to mysteries, our DC adventures continued!

Our afternoon was packed with exploring the National Air and Space Museum, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Museum of American History! So much history, science, and discovery all in one day! 🇺🇸

After dinner, we headed to Old Town Alexandria for a spooky ghost tour! 👻🌙 The perfect mix of learning, adventure, and a little fright!

Another fun-filled day of making memories in DC! ❤️🤍💙
