⁃ Ohio Chautauqua; brought Ohio Chautauqua to Burton in collaboration with the Burton Public Library, Kent State-Geauga, and Geauga County Historical Society, Century Village Museum, and Ohio Humanities

You are cordially invited to attend the Civil War Reenactment at the Century Village Museum in Burton, Oh.

This year, May 25th & 26th we have a special treat! In addition to the Battle Reenactment, Field Hospital, and Encampment, we will be having a special live performance called “John Brown, The Dulcimer Diaries,” a musical production by Treva Offutt and Craig Matis.

The musical, “John Brown, The Dulcimer Diaries,” premiers at the Century Village Museum with performances recounting the life and death of the Abolitionist John Brown. This Musical is an original composition of Dulcimer music, song, and live theater, which will be performed on the grounds of an 1800s active Western Reserve Settlement.

For a gate fee of only $10 for adults, $5 for Children ages 4-10, and free for children ages 3 and under, you will
have access to a full day of activities. This includes tours of many of the 25 historic buildings and exhibits, the
Geauga County Maple Museum, and, of course, the exciting performances of the day.

There will be food and craft vendors; and you can meet Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln and Jefferson Davis—battle reenactments will be daily between performances.

A Civil War Ball will also be on the evening of May 25th, see details on Eventbrite for tickets and discounts to the Ball.

We warmly invite you to join us and witness living history come alive! We always encourage costumed
attendance, as it adds to the immersive experience and makes the event even more enjoyable.
