Good Wednesday BSSA FAM! We would like to acknowledge Earl, the latest AWESOME CPL Graduate. On last Monday, Earl took a private CPL class with us, and we had a great time. Most may recognize or know Earl primarily for being one of the best Barbers in Genesee County for 38-years. He and Instructor Jeff have known each other for over 50-years! So, it was great to see those two reminisce, laugh and catch up with one another. So, we thank him for his support, and for thinking of us to take his CPL class. We greatly appreciate it. Okay FAM, you all have a great day and be safe!

P.S. As a reminder, we are springing forward. It is Daylight Saving Time (DST). We will lose an hour around 2:00 A.M. on Sunday. We are not looking forward to losing an hour. However, we are looking forward to longer days. So, don’t forget to change your wall clocks, time on microwaves, stoves, watches etc…

Hello BSSA FAM!! Hope you all are doing well. On last Friday, we had instructed a private refresher CPL class for two great gentlemen: Anthony and Emanuel. They did such an AWESOME job! Especially, being out in the cold weather. These Grads took their CPL class with us a few years ago So, we thank them for being returned clients and for their continuous support. We greatly appreciate it!

Lastly, we want to take a moment to thank Randy, one of the Range Officers for the outdoor range for being himself and demonstrating great customer service. It is always a plus when we are surrounded by great people. So, thanks, Randy! We also want to recognize and thank the other Range Officer that was out there too in the cold. He shouted out to us to have a great day from the warmth of his vehicle, as we walked by. It was so cold, that we couldn’t make out who he was. But we do know most, if not all of the Outdoor Range Officers. They are all great, and we appreciate them for all that they do to help keep the range safe and provide good customer service despite weather conditions.

So, with that said, BSSA FAM, you all stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day!

Hope all is well BSSA FAM! Tired of the snow yet? Well, the snow and ice made the drive a bit dicey this morning to the Academy. We did make it there safely, thank God. So, today we held the Red Zone Fi****ms Safety Class. We were expecting several students, but unfortunately, the weather and sickness kept them at home. We wish them a speedy recovery.

One AWESOME person did manage to make it to class and made it there safely and early. His name is Derek. Derek is the latest Red Zone Fi****ms Safety Graduate. So, as you all could imagine, class went pretty fast, probably the fastest class that we’ve ever taught in a while because he was the only student. So, as always, we like to introduce Derek to you all and thank him for his time, as well as his participation. Congratulations Derek and to the rest of the BSSA FAM, be safe out there!

Good Day BSSA Fam!! On yesterday we held our first CPL class of 2025. With all of the unsettling and tragic things that happened this week, it was nice to meet three AWESOME individuals that brought so much energy to the class and laughter. HUMOR, was definitely needed, and it was well received. So, without further ado, we want to acknowledge the first CPL Graduates of 2025 as well as welcome them to the BSSA Family. We have: Kile, Alana and Samuel. We thank these graduates for their support and participation.

In addition, we also thank Alana for her continuous support. She and her mother took our Introduction To Fi****ms Safety Class. So, it was great to see a fellow graduate from our BSSA Family return for their next level of training. Thank You So Much!!

Good Day BSSA FAM!! We hope all is well. Heads Up! This will be a very lengthy post. So, as mentioned in the last post, it was the first time that we were able to instruct class with POWER on last Saturday. Yay!! That’s right, it has been a very long frustrating and stressful time.

Most of you may not know the ordeal that we and our other fellow tenants experienced in the Plaza. Since April 24th to August 6th, we were without electrical power due to vandalism. That’s right, for a little over THREE MONTHS we’ve had to place a lot of our classes on hold. Especially, our self-defense classes and new classes. Plus, it was very HOT! VERY HOT!!

Three days after finding out that the power was out, we had a CPL class scheduled. It was too late to cancel because this class was on the roster for some time. Needless to say, we were scrambling. We were looking for USB lights, tap lights, USB fans and a power source. We did not want to spend the money, but we had no choice. Using a traditional generator was not ideal for us due to students were sitting so close to the doors. We did not want to inadvertently kill someone who was there learning how to be safe. This definitely would not have been good for business.

Students that attended that CPL class were very, very supportive and understanding. However, it was weird for us because we didn’t want the students to think that we did not pay our bills or that Consumers just shut us off. Thank goodness another fellow tenant came by when they saw a few lights and asked, “How do you all have power?” Their presence validated why we had things set-up like we did and not that we were having a safety seance. LOL!!

Prior to class, we thought we had checked off the most important things to power. However, there was one thing that was missing. Wait for it, the restroom sink runs by power. WHAT?!?! We totally forgot that the faucet needed power. It was not something that you think about. Thank God we had soap and hand sanitizer available. Could you imagine if we didn’t! The students did not mention the faucet at all. Bless them. It could have been that they knew we were doing everything to make them feel comfortable. It’s quite possible that they didn’t want to add to our plight too. Therefore, we had to purchase a battery pack to power the faucet.

The most complicated area to light up for class was the Airsoft Range. You really do not know how much light is utilized until it is gone. It was difficult trying to simulate adequate lighting. Hopefully, by looking at the photos you can see that we’d tried to do our best.

So, with all of that being said and that was a lot. We would like to thank all of the students that attended classes during this time. We greatly appreciate their support and patience. We especially thank all of those who left great reviews and comments for us during this time. Thank You!! We also like to thank our fellow tenants that kept us informed. If you’re up at the Plaza kindly, take a moment to check out their businesses. Finally, we would like to thank all of those who helped restore the power. We know it wasn’t easy, but thank you all for your time and hard work!!

Okay, BSSA FAM, stay tuned because we will be announcing upcoming new exciting FUN activities and classes after Labor Day. We look forward to seeing familiar faces as well as new ones. Continue to keep us lifted in positive energy and prayers. You all take care and be safe. Much Love!
