Breastfeeding Mommies, before you start panicking because you are not able to fill your Haakaa to the brim...⁣⁣

Please know that at the start of your breastfeeding journey, your body will only produce what your baby needs. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And because a newborn’s tummy is small, the amount you will express or the let-down you will be able to collect- will be commensurate to your baby’s demand.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So please don’t panic and buy a can of formula just yet.⁣⁣
⁣
Many moms decide to use formula the moment they leave the hospital because they think they do not have enough milk.⁣
⁣⁣
Do not give up on your breastfeeding journey too soon.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Your body is beautifully made by God and He designed it to be in sync with your baby’s needs.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Feed often. Drink lots of liquid. Sleep. Relax. Use your Haakaa regularly. And your supply will just grow.⁣⁣

Come to the SMILE Club kick off event May 16, 2019!

What is the SMILE Club? It is a club for pregnant and breastfeeding moms who are active in WIC. Club members will collect points to redeem them for baby and breastfeeding items.

Joining the SMILE Club is easy! Come to the Genesee County Health Department WIC Burton Office on May 16, 2019 through June 30, 2019. If you are not currently active on WIC, call for an appointment and you can join the SMILE Club once your appointment is completed.
