📣📣 Calling all YFC members 📣📣 - YFC Training dates: October 11 and 17; November 8 and 15; December 13 and 19.
If anyone is interested in YFC or would like to see what we do please stop by the fire station at 80581 Hwy 21 on these dates between 8AM and 12PM.

NO MORE MASKS. WE HAVE RUN OUT. Stay safe and thank you for your continued support!

Thanks to the St Tammany Parish Government and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Haynes Brands Inc, we have a few thousand masks to giveaway at the fire stations. These masks are washable and reusable. They are free of charge and available this afternoon. Please take what you need, and remember that others need masks too. Each bag contains 5 separate masks and they are all the same size. Please stop by your closest station and grab what you need.

Please remember NO Burning at this time. Please follow the state Fire Marshall for more information.

As a reminder, the statewide burn ban coincides with Governor John Bel Edwards' "Stay At Home" order. If/when that order ends April 30, the ban will end with it.

Here are the highlights:

🔥The burn ban is NOT for dry conditions
😷The burn ban is to keep smoke out of the air to prevent respiratory issues, from COVID-19 or otherwise, from worsening
🚒The burn ban is to try to reduce the number of emergency calls for first responders to limit their unnecessary interaction with each other and the public
❌The burn ban does NOT allow using a fire pit, barrel or other containment method to burn rubbish for long periods of time
🥩🍗You ARE ALLOWED to use barbecue grills, fire pits and small campfires for BRIEF, RECREATIONAL purposes.
✔️Local fire departments and governments CAN allow permissions at their discretion
