Sumter County Schools is proud to recognize **Charlie Love IV**, an 8th-grade student at South Sumter Middle School , as our CTE Student of the Month for May 2026! π
Charlie exemplifies what it means to take learning to the next level. Through his enrollment in Digital Information Technology and Construction courses, he is already earning high school credit while building valuable, real-world skills that will support his future career goals.
π§ In Construction, Charlie has gained hands-on experience building tables, fencing, and flooringβand has even contributed to community projects like Habitat for Humanity playhouses and firefighter training structures.
π» In DIT, he has tackled coding challenges with determination, collaborating with peers to successfully complete projects.

Looking ahead, Charlie plans to attend the Florida Institute of Technology and pursue a future in mechanical engineering and service in the United States Air Force.
