🌟 Celebrating Excellence in Career & Technical Education! 🌟

Sumter County Schools is proud to recognize **Charlie Love IV**, an 8th-grade student at South Sumter Middle School , as our CTE Student of the Month for May 2026! 🎉

Charlie exemplifies what it means to take learning to the next level. Through his enrollment in Digital Information Technology and Construction courses, he is already earning high school credit while building valuable, real-world skills that will support his future career goals.

🔧 In Construction, Charlie has gained hands-on experience building tables, fencing, and flooring—and has even contributed to community projects like Habitat for Humanity playhouses and firefighter training structures.
💻 In DIT, he has tackled coding challenges with determination, collaborating with peers to successfully complete projects.

Charlie has also earned multiple industry-recognized certifications, including:
✅ WordPress Certified Editor
✅ Spreadsheet Essentials
✅ Digital Literacy Levels 1 & 2
✅ Communications Essentials

Beyond the classroom, Charlie is an **A Honor Roll student**, a previous **Student of the Month**, and was recognized in the **Engineering category at the Science Fair**. His teachers describe him as a motivated leader, positive role model, and dedicated learner.

Looking ahead, Charlie plans to attend the Florida Institute of Technology and pursue a future in mechanical engineering and service in the United States Air Force.

The countdown is officially ON! 🕰️ The South Sumter High School - Raiders Class of 2026 is ready to turn their tassels, toss their caps, and take their final walk across the field.

From late-night studying to Friday night lights, you’ve put in the work, made unforgettable memories, and shown the true definition of Raider Pride. Now, it's time to celebrate your big moment! 🌟

📅 When: Friday, May 29, 2026
⏰ Time: Gates open at 6:00 PM | Field access closes strictly at 7:20 PM
📍 Where: SSHS Football Stadium

⚠️ Quick Reminders for Raider Nation:

Seniors: Report to the gym in full cap and gown by 6:00 PM sharp. Do not leave personal items in the gym!

Families & Guests: Parking lots open at 5:30 PM. Each graduate receives 4 tickets for field seating (required for all ages, including babies). Anyone arriving after 7:20 PM will be directed to the general stadium seating.

From the Raiders starting the day strong to the Wildcats keeping that momentum flying high, our students and staff proved that we are completely united in breaking the stigma for Mental Health Month.

Wow, Wildwood Middle High School absolutely brought the energy! We just wrapped up our second Mental Health Awareness Walk of the day, and the Wildcats truly showed out and raised the bar! From the energy to the incredible turnout, our students and staff made a massive statement for Mental Health Month. 💥🧠

We just wrapped up an amazing Mental Health Awareness Walk at South Sumter High School - Raiders. Our students and staff laced up their sneakers, hit the track, and showed up for each other in a massive way. The energy and Raider pride were unmatched! 💪🧠
