Last evening our members met up with our Friends over at Bloomingdale Fire once again to cross train on apparatus. While we may be different departments, the decreasing sizes of Department Rosters throughout the nation has brought us to each other’s aid more often over the past few years. By learning each others apparatus, it gives our members a better understanding and ability to help each other, whether we are called to help Bloomingdale, or they are called do help us.

If you’d like to help our communities and join one of our great organizations, feel free to message Bloomingdale above, or Email us at [email protected]

Last nights drill involved deploying and packing hose lines on each towns apparatus. Every truck is a bit different and getting hands on them helps us all learn!

Well well well. What do we have here? Another day of the smell of campfires and air that's making us cough. On the bright side, although we are still in the "Very Unhealthy" Range, we are down from about 175 earlier today to 160 Air Quality Index (AQI).
Although today may be another tough one, we are down from yesterday's high of about 235, so that's a plus.
Hopefully it continues to go down and we can start getting back to normal soon! Be careful outside and those who are in higher risk groups should continue to avoid the outdoors as much as possible and everyone should limit there time outdoors.
