Stay tuned for some exciting news!

PulsePoint is coming to Butler County!

PulsePoint empowers everyday citizens to provide assistance during time-sensitive medical emergencies. Individuals who are trained in CPR and willing to assist in emergencies can download the PulsePoint Respond app and receive alerts when someone nearby is experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest in a public location. The application simultaneously notifies nearby off-duty responders as advanced medical care is dispatched, allowing CPR to begin before first responders arrive on scene.

Community members are encouraged to download the FREE PulsePoint Respond app and obtain CPR certification. Check back for upcoming information on how to obtain CPR training!

Together, we can strengthen Butler County’s emergency response network and save lives!

🚨ATTENTION: Verizon Wireless Outage & 9-1-1 Information🚨

We are aware that many Verizon Wireless customers are currently experiencing a service outage, with many devices displaying "SOS mode."

If you have an emergency and are unable to place a voice call to 9-1-1, please Text-to-9-1-1. This service is currently operational. Simply enter "911" in the "To" field of your messaging app and send a brief text with your location and the nature of your emergency.

IMPORTANT:
⚠️ DO NOT call 9-1-1 to "test" if your phone is working. This ties up emergency lines for those in life-threatening situations. To test your service, please call or text a friend or family member instead.

Troubleshooting Steps:
If you are without service, you may try the following:

✔️Enable Wi-Fi Calling: If you have access to Wi-Fi, go to your phone settings and ensure "Wi-Fi Calling" is turned on.

✔️Toggle Airplane Mode: Switch Airplane Mode on for 10 seconds and then off to force a network reconnection.

✔️Restart Your Device: A full power cycle can sometimes help your phone find a stable signal.

✔️Check network status: Use the Verizon Network Status Tool link below to see if a tower in Western PA is down. https://www.verizon.com/support/check-network-status/?msockid=04b244e44fd6610306d7529a4ed76066

✔️Toggle Data: Turn cellular data off and on.

✔️Reset Network Settings: on iPhones, go to settings>General>Transfer or reset>Reset>Reset Network Settings (this also resets Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.

We will provide updates as more information becomes available from Verizon.
