๐Ÿšจ Vehicle Fire Response ๐Ÿšจ

At 16:15 hrs (4:15 PM), the Northern Pendleton Fire District was dispatched to a reported fully involved vehicle fire at the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and Crane Lane.

Engine 2801, Engine 2802, and Ambulance 2870 immediately responded and arrived on scene to find a vehicle completely involved in fire, with flames beginning to spread into a freshly cut hay field nearby.
Fortunately, all occupants were able to safely exit the vehicle prior to the arrival of emergency personnel, and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and were able to bring the vehicle fire under control while preventing the fire from spreading further into the field. Their rapid response helped minimize damage and prevent a potentially larger grass fire incident.

๐Ÿšจ Residential Structure Fire โ€“ City of Butler ๐Ÿšจ

At 13:27 hrs (1:27 PM), the Northern Pendleton Fire District was dispatched to the 100 block of Williams Street in the City of Butler for a reported residential structure fire with smoke showing and beginning to fill the residence.
๏ฟผ
Engine 2801 and Ambulance 2870 from Station 1 in Peach Grove responded immediately and arrived on scene within minutes of dispatch. Upon arrival, crews found the residence evacuated with a light amount of smoke coming from the structure.

The homeowner took immediate action by shutting off all electrical power to the residence prior to our arrival, potentially preventing further fire spread and additional damage to the home.

Following a thorough investigation, crews determined the fire conditions were caused by a faulty furnace and associated electrical issues. Due to the electrical service being disconnected and concerns regarding additional electrical hazards within the residence, the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the occupants. As a result, two adults and two children have been temporarily displaced.

The Northern Pendleton Fire District would like to remind everyone that working smoke alarms, regular furnace maintenance, and prompt attention to electrical issues can help prevent emergencies like this one.

The Northern Pendleton Fire District would like to thank Steve Price from Ferno for stopping in and demonstrating the new Ferno POWER X2 system! The Command Staff and District Board remain 100% committed to providing equipment that better serves both our Firefighters and our Community.

The Ferno Power X2 system offers numerous benefits for both patient care and firefighter/EMS provider safety. The powered loading and lifting system helps reduce strain and risk of injury to personnel by minimizing heavy lifting during patient movement and ambulance loading operations. The X2 system also provides improved stability, smoother maneuverability, and enhanced patient comfort during transport.

The Northern Pendleton Fire District does not currently have a Powered Lifting System in our Ambulances, so IF PURCHASED, this would be a HUGE investment in our employees and Patients.

Additional safety features such as powered lifting assistance, secure locking mechanisms, and advanced suspension capabilities allow crews to operate more efficiently while focusing on patient care. Investments in modern equipment like the Power X2 help ensure our crews can continue providing the highest level of emergency medical service to the citizens we proudly serve.
