Their work supports nearly every aspect of daily operations, including maintaining town owned roads, facilities, and parks, assisting with community events, responding in all types of weather conditions, and more.

The Town of Butner is pleased to announce that Mayor Dr. Linda Jordon has been elected to serve on the North Carolina Mayors Association (NCMA) Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term.

Mayor Jordon was elected by unanimous vote during the NCMA Annual Meeting held on May 5. The NCMA Board of Directors is made up of municipal leaders from across the state who work together to support and advocate for North Carolina communities.
