Butte School District #1 Butte School District Butte Public Schools is fortunate to have extremely active community and parent involvement programs.

Over 245 senior and retired volunteers work in our schools on a daily basis and partnerships with community agencies and organizations allow our District an opportunity to provide a plethora of programs including but not limited to:

What are PLCs?

PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) are dedicated times for teachers to work together to improve student learning. Teachers collaborate to support students who need additional help and to provide enrichment opportunities for students who are ready for greater challenges.

This year, Butte School District is implementing PLCs districtwide to help ensure all students learn at high levels and reach their full potential.

Early Dismissal Schedule

To provide time for PLC collaboration, there will be an early dismissal every second Wednesday throughout the school year.

• PreK, Kindergarten, Grades 1-3: Dismissal at 12:30 p.m.
• Grades 4-12: Dismissal at 1:30 p.m.

Our first PLC early dismissal day will be Wednesday, September 9.
