Montana Tech AmeriCorps

A Montana Tech hosted team of Montana Campus Compact AmeriCorps Leaders and Members to further college access and success.

The Montana Tech Campus Corps team consists of one full-time team leader and 12 members who contribute to community and campus based programs to help meet the goals set for by the National Campus Compact. Campus Corps members help tutor at the Legion Oasis, serve as counselors at the RYO facility, and work with CFWEP.com, among other programs.

Montana Technological University is the state's top-ranked college in Forbes magazine's 2022 America's Top Colleges List, which ranks the top 500 private and public institutions in the nation.

"Educating and preparing smart, hard-working individuals for meaningful careers and successful lives is where Montana Tech has always done well," Chancellor Les Cook said. "We're proud of this along with our retention rates, high return on investment and lowest debt in the state --all of which are reaffirmed by the Forbes ranking."

Our Story

The Montana Tech Campus Compact AmeriCorps team supports college access and success work across Montana by deploying college student AmeriCorps members who provide coaching and support to first generation and low income K-12 students and families. AmeriCorps members serving with the program provide a variety of direct service activities, supporting youth-focused programming, college application nights, FAFSA applications, and normalizing the idea and practice of going to college.
