Congratulations to four Miners who earned postseason recognition for their outstanding seasons and dedication to our program.

As the final out of the 2026 season settles into the glove, we just want to say… thank you, Butte. ❤️⚾

Whether you came to one game or every game, bought a burger from the concession stand, chased foul balls, cheered until you lost your voice, volunteered countless hours, or simply wore navy and silver with pride—you were a part of this season.

To our fans, families, sponsors, alumni, and community… you turned 3 Legends Stadium into one of the best places in Montana to play baseball. Your energy gave our players something to fight for every single night.

Thank you for supporting the 2026 Butte American Legion Baseball teams—the Miners, Muckers, and Motormen—through another unforgettable summer. From Opening Day to the final out, you showed up for these players, this program, and this community.

Baseball seasons eventually come to an end, but the memories made under the lights, the friendships built, and the traditions carried on at 3 Legends Stadium will last far beyond the final score.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in these young men and for making Butte American Legion Baseball something truly special.

We’ll see you back at the ballpark next season.

💙⛏️ THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 2026 BUTTE MINERS SEASON. ⛏️💙

Every season ends with one team celebrating and everyone else wishing they had one more game. Today, our journey came to an end against a talented Helena Reps team.

Final: Helena Reps 17, Butte Miners 7

The score doesn’t tell the whole story of this season.

This team battled through adversity, answered challenges, fought back when they were counted out, and never stopped competing. They represented Butte with grit, toughness, and pride every time they put on the Miner jersey.

Today, the boys collected 11 hits, swiped five bases, and refused to quit. Karsen McEwen, Logan Carden, Gunnar O’Brien, and Lucas Harris-Huerta each had two-hit games, while McEwen, Calvin Cunningham, and Harris-Huerta drove in two runs apiece.

To our players—thank you for the countless hours, the sacrifices, and the memories you gave this community.

To our coaches—thank you for your dedication and leadership.

To our families, volunteers, sponsors, and the fans who packed 3 Legends Stadium all summer long—this season wouldn’t have happened without you.

The final out may have been recorded today, but once you’re a Miner, you’re always a Miner.

Thursday belongs in the books.

Saturday belongs to whoever wants it more.

The Helena Reps are standing between the Miners and another game tonight.

Thursday tested this team.

Friday defined them.

The Miners answered with a 16-6 win over the Dillon Cubs, keeping their District Tournament run alive and proving once again that they’re built for the fight.

Now it’s on to Saturday.

The Miners answered the bell.

Behind a monster performance from Calvin Cunningham (3-for-4, 5 RBIs) and a 17-hit offensive explosion, Butte rolled past Dillon 16-6 to keep the season alive.

Now the road gets even tougher.

At 4:00 PM today, the Miners square off with the Helena Reps in another win-or-go-home showdown. Every pitch matters. Every out matters. Every inning matters.

This group has already proven they don’t back down when the pressure is on. They just keep climbing.

It’s “Miners” across their chest…

But it’s Butte in their heart.

This roster represents more than a baseball team. It represents a city built on hard work, resilience, and the belief that nothing worth having comes easy.

These 17 young men have earned the opportunity to wear the Miners uniform, and every inning they play is for the people who have supported them from day one.

Now it’s our turn.

Fill the stands. Make some noise. Let these boys know the entire Mining City is behind them as they continue their District Tournament run.

The Miners have never been the team to choose the easy road.

They’re the team that gets knocked down, dusts off the uniform, grabs the pickaxe and goes right back to work.

Now there are no shortcuts. No room for another loss. Just one game, one battle and one win at a time.

The road to the South A District Championship starts again today at 4:00 PM—and from here on out, the Miners have to keep winning to keep rolling.

This team knows how to battle back. They’ve done it all season. Now it’s time to dig deeper than ever before.

Not the result we wanted, but this team never backs down.

The Miners came out swinging, jumping to an early 3-0 lead behind Karsen McEwen’s first-inning home run and RBI singles from McEwen and Kodye Kjersten. Helena answered late, and despite a hard-fought effort, the Miners came up just short in a 4-3 battle.

⚾ Kodye Kjersten: RBI, 2 stolen bases
⚾ Logan Carden: 2 stolen bases
⚾ Team Total: 7 stolen bases

Sometimes postseason baseball comes down to one inning. Tonight it wasn’t our turn—but this team has too much fight left for the story to end here.

🚨 BUTTE… THIS IS YOUR 3-HOUR WARNING. 🚨

In just a few hours, the lights come on, the anthem plays, and District Tournament baseball officially takes over 3 Legends Stadium.

This isn’t just another stop on the schedule.

This is where seasons are remembered.
This is where legends are made.
This is where Butte gets to show the rest of Montana what home-field advantage really looks like.

Before the first pitch at 7:00 PM, we’ll welcome all six District Tournament teams during Opening Ceremonies immediately following the 4:00 PM game. Then it’s time for the hometown boys to get to work.
