The Wisconsin DNR has made some changes to the fire danger map for today. Burn permits are suspended today for the areas in the high to very high danger levels. Limited burning is allowed for the areas in the moderate risk. Please continue to exercise caution. Wisconsin had two wildfires in the state yesterday. One of those was in Marathon County.

The tornado siren is now up and operational. Hopefully we won't need it anymore and it decides to warm up.

N. WISCONSIN / U.P. – The fire danger for all Northern Wisconsin and the Western U.P. has crept back to Very High. Burn restrictions are in effect for much of the region including banning the open burning of yard debris. A fire danger of VERY HIGH means wildfires start easily, spread rapidly with increased intensity and are difficult to control.
