Well, we made it! The last day of Preschool. There were some tears, somersaults on the carpet, lots of dancing, some nose picking, an argument here and there, lots of hugs, and a whole lot of fun! We are now officially Kindergartners!

Field Day! PreK students joined other elementary students in Field Day on May 28th. The students got to participate in different events including a car wash relay, chopstick relay, dress up relay, and the duck walk relay where students wore flippers and had to flap and quack like a duck. After the events all the students got to enjoy popsicles for a treat.

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo! 3K and 4K students traveled to Wildwoods Wildlife Park in Minocqua on May 26th for their end of the school year field trip. Parents joined us for some fun at the zoo. The students participated in an educational program when they arrived. One of the park staff showed the students a chinchilla named Emerson and told them all about chinchillas. The students then got to pet Emerson to see how soft he was.

After the program the students and their parents were free to enjoy the park at their leisure. Students spent time feeding the parakeets, playing in the sand, and riding the tram or small train. It was a beautiful sunny day and everyone had a good time.

On May 22 the PreK class participated in the Butternut Career Fair with Kindergarten through Fifth grades. Second through Fifth grades created portfolios depicting what they would like to be when they grow up. Prek through First grade got to dress up in what they want to be and walked in a Career Costume Parade. The students enjoyed getting to dress up. There were firefighters, police officers, a veterinarian, chef, pilot, mail carrier, an adorable ballerina, even Spider Man. Students in all grades did an amazing job.

On May 15th the PreK and First grade classes said goodbye to their Reading Buddies. Ms. Altman's Literature class made up of Seniors volunteered to read to the PreK and First grade students throughout the school year. To thank the Seniors and to wish them good luck in their future endeavors the PreK and First grade students hosted a surprise party for them.

Today Caitlynn BeBeau and Anna Schloer of our high school track team will travel to Marathon to participate in Sectionals beginning at 3:30 PM. Field events will start at 3:30 PM and running events at 4:15 PM. Caitlynn will be participating in the triple jump, 200 meter, and 400 meter. Anna will be participating in the 100 meter and 200 meter. Good luck girls!!
