One mission. One team.
Cross-training between the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, active duty Coast Guard crews, and Auxiliary University Program (AUP) students continues to showcase the strength of Team Coast Guard in action.
Auxiliarist Braeden Krzenski, Branch Chief, AUP Public Affairs (BC-SUM) on the AUP National Staff, a member of Norwich University’s Auxiliary University Program, and a member of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 054-10-01 Wrightsville Beach, regularly trains alongside active duty crews from U.S. Coast Guard Station Wrightsville Beach in real-world maritime operations and emergency response scenarios.
Recent joint training included two-boat operations, towing drills, and man overboard recovery evolutions — sharpening communication, coordination, and operational readiness between Auxiliary and active duty personnel. Exercises like these are critical in preparing crews to respond effectively when real emergencies happen on the water.
From college students in the AUP, to auxiliarists, to active duty Coast Guard members — this is Team Coast Guard working together to build the next generation of maritime leaders.
