Water has been turned back on repair was not finished because of not being able to get water shut down. We’ll have to do this again at a later date, but will let you all know about it. As of right now, no boil order.

Water has been shut down they are getting old valve disconnected from the piping right now.

The water is going to be shut off tomorrow. For a valve replacement at the water plant it’s self. As long as it doesn’t go past 90 minutes replacing it and chlorine residual is good there will be no boil order. Follow the Byers Water and Sanitation page for updates for tomorrow’s project.

Byers Water will be conducting valve and fire hydrant repairs on June 17, 2026. The areas affected will be the block of 530 South Fetzer and South McDonald Street. The intersection of South McDonnell St and West 3rd Ave. Homes on South Jewel, South Fetzer, South McDonnell between West 2nd Ave and West 3rd Ave. Finally the fire hydrant in front of the Byers Elementary School will be replaced. Only the Byers School and Lincoln Health Clinic will be affected for the fire hydrant replacement. Expect the water to be shut off in these areas from 9:30AM - 5:00PM. Hopefully water will be on much sooner than that. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we improve our water system.
