Memorial Day is right around the corner and we hope you’re ready for this year’s Chicken BBQ. We welcome the return of the basket auction and a dine-in option. All proceeds from this year’s BBQ will go to helping our new ambulance fund. So grateful for the Byron Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary for putting this event on each year. Hope to see you there.

Today is the 10th Annual Giving Tuesday!! Consider donating to your local volunteer EMS. Our members spend countless hours away from their families annually to provide service to the Town of Byron and surrounding communities. As some of you know are ambulance is in need of replacement after 10+ years of service and we’ve been working hard to raise the funds…but your help is still needed. On this day of giving, consider making a donation to the Byron Rescue Squad (PO Box 326, Byron, NY 14422) or coming down Monday nights at 7 pm to fill out an application for membership. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you so much in advance for your consideration.

The Byron Rescue Squad would like to take a moment to express our deepest appreciation to all those that came out to support us at yesterday’s Memorial Day Chicken BBQ. We live in such an amazing community and it is heartwarming to know how many were willing to help us with our fundraising efforts for a new ambulance, and of course, get a delicious meal too.

We would also like to thank those (members of the Byron Fire Department & the Ladies Auxiliary, members of the Byron Kiwanis, Starowitz Farms, Alabama Holley Farms, Our BBQ chefs, family and friends) that volunteered their time (before, during and after) to make this event possible.

Without each of you, it wouldn’t have been a success.
