Why does an updated Comprehensive Plan matter? This plan serves as a roadmap for Peach County's future growth and development. It helps guide decisions on land use, zoning, transportation improvements, parks and recreation, public safety, economic development, and more. Most importantly, it helps ensure that growth is managed responsibly while protecting the quality of life that makes our communities special.

This update is a collaborative effort between Peach County, the City of Fort Valley, the City of Byron, and the Middle Georgia Regional Commission. The plan will reflect the priorities, needs, and vision of the people who live, work, and do business here; and that starts with your feedback.

As we enjoy the holiday weekend, we also pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 26.

May 15 is set aside to remember the officers that paid the ultimate sacrifice for their communities. Last year there were fewer than 100 officers that did not go home at the end of their shift. One is too many.
