A couple of schedule changes for this week.

Unfortunately, I have to cancel the Thursday Story Time...sorry for any inconvenience!
Also, had to add a special board meeting being held on Monday morning. Agenda has been posted - at the library and post office.

Thank you to everyone that was able to join us today for our Unearth a Story Summer Reading Kickoff!

Congratulations to Harrison who was the winner of our dino-door prize basket. Glad you were able to pick it up today and enjoy it for the weekend.

If you didn't get a chance to stop by today - no worries! We will have Summer Reading Logs available at the front desk.
Participants in our Summer Reading Program will be entered to win some dinosaur prizes at the Wrap Up being held on August 1st. 🦖

The Vaughn Public Library in Ashland is hosting a Chequamegon Community Read and they're coming to Cable!
Dr. Cynthia Belmont will lead the discussion on June 1st at 6 pm at the Portage in Cable.

Update: I arrived at the library this morning (Thursday) to see our young visitor has moved on. 🙂 Crew was on site today to make more progress on prepping for cement for the sidewalk and pavilion area.

We have a young visitor to our new building!

This fawn was bedded down in the native plant area by the Cable Natural History Museum's mews. Likely due to construction, it relocated to the front corner area of the new building.

If in the area, please keep your distance and do not disturb it. Please keep pets away as well. Be extra cautious as you drive through town, in the event it gets up and moves.
