The Cabot Police Department is recruiting junior officers for a special needs Junior Police Academy Day Camp. It will take place Saturday July 11th, from 9:00am until noon. Designed to serve kids and young adults 5 years old to 25 years old with disabilities, the day camp will focus on their abilities and give them an opportunity to experience what itโs like to be a police cadet. These junior officers will be provided a t-shirt, lunch for the cadet and their family, and a graduation certificate. The cadets will rotate through several stations of police related activities. There will be handcuffing, batons, fingerprinting, NERF guns, SWAT gear, and more. Everyone must register to attend and more information will be sent to your email after registration. The day camp is limited to the first 75 completed registrations.
This event is free due to generous community donations, police department and community volunteers, and our continued partnership with the Cabot School District for our JPA Programs.
You can email questions to Chief John Dodd at [email protected]
