Today, we recognize and celebrate the brave men and women who serve our communities with courage, commitment, and heart.
On International Firefighters’ Day, we honor the dedication of firefighters everywhere—those who run toward danger when others are told to stay back, who stand ready at all hours, and who put service above self each and every day.
We also take time to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their legacy lives on in the work we continue to do and in the bonds we share.
To our firefighters, both here at CFD and around the world: thank you for your strength, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property.
Stay safe. Stay strong. 🔥🚒

We were proud to be part of Freshman Academy Career Day today! đźš’
Our firefighters had a great time speaking with students about what it’s like to serve in the fire service—sharing real-life experiences, demonstrating equipment, and answering questions about the job. Opportunities like this help inspire the next generation and give students a closer look at careers that make a difference every day.
Thank you to the school for inviting us out and to all the students who participated and showed interest. Who knows—we may have met some future firefighters today! 🔥👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

Congratulations to Firefighter Kallen Coats on earning his shield and completing his rookie year! Kallen proved himself by forcing entry, advancing a charged line to knock down the fire, and ventilating the structure. He helped remove an adult victim, rescued a baby from the second floor, and went back in to bring his partner out to safety.
A well-earned shield and a strong start to his career 🚒🔥

Be advised that the Burn Ban for the city limits of Cabot has been lifted!

One of the toughest parts of this job is not knowing how the story ends for the people we care for. We meet patients on some of the worst days of their lives. We do everything we can in that moment, and then we move on to the next call, often wondering what happened next.

Today, we got that answer for a call in Cabot.

On March 26, Mrs. Sheila Boser collapsed at home. Her heart stopped, and she wasn’t breathing. Because of the immediate actions of her husband and the coordinated response from MEMS, Cabot Fire Department and Cabot Police Department , she was resuscitated.

Today, she celebrated the life that was returned to her through a reunion with the responders who saved her, bringing closure to a story that is too often left unfinished. Moments like this don’t happen often. When they do, they matter.
