Cpl Cope met Egert Johanson earlier today. Mr. Johanson is from Estonia and was in Cith Hall obtaining a solicitors permit so he can legally knock on doors. Residents can expect to see him in the next couple of weeks and represents Southwestern Advantage Company out of Nashville.

He will be selling educational study guides designed to help kids of all ages.

This is Egert's summer internship and will help him pay for his university studies when he returns to Estonia.

The men and women of the Caddo Mills Police Department work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without thinking about the danger that they could face, to protect the citizens they serve. These days, something as simple as a traffic stop, investigating a vehicle accident or assisting a stranded motorist could result in a deadly scenario for officers.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police Week. Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Take time out of your day to acknowledge the law enforcement officers in Caddo Mills. A simple “thank you” can go a long way.
