Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected this afternoon into tonight, but the severe threat will be significantly lower and limited to southeastern MO and southwestern IL. For the rest of the week, cool and mainly dry conditions will prevail.

Thunderstorms are expected at times throughout the day, but the most significant severe threat will be this afternoon and evening including very large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. Have multiple ways to receive warning and have a plan for severe weather.
