Cherry Grove Township is looking for highly motivated individuals to help a growing department, in order to better serve the community. Cherry Grove Fire Department is now accepting applications for the role of Firefighter/EMT-B. We are a small department that is transitioning from strictly paid on call, to now Full Time, transporting BLS truck.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Drug Screening Exam
Medical Exam
Valid Driver’s License
At least 18 Years old
Education and Experience:
EMT-B
Firefighter 1 & 2
Hazmat Awareness & Operations
Schedule and Benefits:
$41,000, a year to start
48 hrs on/ 96 hours off
Competitive Benefit Package
100% Health Coverage for the Employee
Employee will be required to pay for family’s coverage
3 % match for a 401A
Vacation
After 1 year of service 48 hours vacation
2-5 years of service 96 hours vacation
6 years and over 168 hours vacation
Paid Holidays
Township Duties that are required:
Blight
Liquor License Inspection
Cemetery Work

I case you dont recognize the deputy on the right, its WMCTC Public Safety graduate and former class leader Yazy McKinley. It's hard to believe less than a year ago she was in class and is now serving and protecting the Citizens of Wexford County.
