Structure fire this afternoon trigg/lyon was dispatched to around the prizer road area, thank you to our EM David Bryant and Montgomery fire department for much needed assistance on scene. Trigg/lyon engine 1 and engine 2 both responded to the scene

Yesterday trigg/lyon firefighters worked along side Montgomery fire department trigg county rescue and riddles 24 hours towing and recovery in several extrication scenarios this gave an opportunity for everyone to get a hands on experience at vehicle extrication and different scenarios that could arise with arriving on an accident scene. Thank you to everyone who made this class possible and thank you to riddles towing for placement of the vehicles and providing them for training!

pictures from last training we did an in house pump ops class using our engine 2 with assistant chief Duke instructing the class. Pump ops is something you can never practice enough of knowing the operations of the pump and how to get water flowing training our firefighters regularly on this keeps us refreshed and a better response to getting water on the fire

Last night firefighters met at the station to do a regular scheduled maintenance night on the trucks after we took all of our them(tanker 5 not pictured) to do some hands on drivers training and basic truck operations. This allows us to give firefighters a hands on experience at driving a fire apparatus in a supervised environment.

In a special call meeting of the Board of Commissioners, 13 probationary firefighters were appointed to the Bowling Green Fire Department Recruit Class of 2023 this afternoon. Congratulations to Levi Anthony, Zachary Barnhart, Evron Carlson, Bryce Chandler, Brandon Jaggers, Miguel Paredes, Josh Scott, Griffin Spainhoward, Stephen Stoll, Nate Sutton, Brandon Thomas, Austin Valentine, and Lane Woodward. Welcome to the family!

Thank you to everyone who came on over to show your support and those who donated to help better our station! What a fun day this was we grilled food, played some games, made new friends and learned about some of the things you will find in the station.
We truly enjoyed seeing everyone and hope you all had just as much fun as we did.
