** Scio Circle K armed robbery update. **

On August 31, 2026, the robbery of the Circle K in Scio was quickly investigated, resulting in the arrest of the suspect within hours of fleeing Harrison County. The suspect was identified as Blake Eugene Judy, 24, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

With the assistance of the Dennison Police Department and the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, investigators learned that on the day prior to the robbery, Mr. Judy had encountered Dennison Police officers while seeking medical assistance and was transported to Twin City Hospital.

According to the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, after being released from the hospital, Mr. Judy allegedly broke into a residence in the area, where he stole work boots, a pry bar, and a handgun. He then allegedly broke into R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, stealing additional clothing and a Ford Transit van.

Mr. Judy then traveled to the Circle K in the Village of Scio, where he entered the store and allegedly robbed the cashier at gunpoint, taking money, drinks, and ci******es.

Shortly after leaving Scio, Mr. Judy headed east on State Route 151. With assistance from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the North Fayette Police Department, officers located the Ford Transit van and Mr. Judy in Imperial, Pennsylvania. Mr. Judy was arrested without incident and transported to the North Fayette Police Department.

Detectives from the Harrison County and Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Offices were able to recover the stolen vehicle and property. Detectives subsequently interviewed Mr. Judy, who is expected to face several felony charges in multiple jurisdictions.

Mr. Judy remains in custody in Pennsylvania and is awaiting extradition.

Sheriff Mark Touville would once again like to express his sincere gratitude to all of the law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation, apprehension of Mr. Judy, and recovery of the stolen property. The cooperation and assistance of each agency were instrumental in bringing this investigation to a successful conclusion.

In the morning hours of August 31, 2026, deputies responded to an armed robbery at the Circle K in the Village of Scio, Harrison County.

A Circle K employee reported that a male entered the store, held him at gunpoint, and demanded money from the cash register. The employee further reported that the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored, transit-style van.

While investigating the robbery, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office was advised by dispatch of a stolen vehicle from Tuscarawas County that matched the description of the vehicle used in the robbery.

Utilizing Flock Safety License Plate Reader cameras, deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle in western Pennsylvania near Imperial. With the assistance of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Allegany County Police Department, the suspect and vehicle were apprehended a few hours after the robbery.

Sheriff Mark Touville wishes to commend his own deputies, as well as the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and Allegany County Police Department, for their excellent teamwork and cooperation throughout this investigation.

More information regarding the case will be released once the investigation has been completed.
