On August 31, 2026, the robbery of the Circle K in Scio was quickly investigated, resulting in the arrest of the suspect within hours of fleeing Harrison County. The suspect was identified as Blake Eugene Judy, 24, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
With the assistance of the Dennison Police Department and the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, investigators learned that on the day prior to the robbery, Mr. Judy had encountered Dennison Police officers while seeking medical assistance and was transported to Twin City Hospital.
According to the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, after being released from the hospital, Mr. Judy allegedly broke into a residence in the area, where he stole work boots, a pry bar, and a handgun. He then allegedly broke into R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, stealing additional clothing and a Ford Transit van.
Mr. Judy then traveled to the Circle K in the Village of Scio, where he entered the store and allegedly robbed the cashier at gunpoint, taking money, drinks, and ci******es.
Shortly after leaving Scio, Mr. Judy headed east on State Route 151. With assistance from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the North Fayette Police Department, officers located the Ford Transit van and Mr. Judy in Imperial, Pennsylvania. Mr. Judy was arrested without incident and transported to the North Fayette Police Department.
Detectives from the Harrison County and Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Offices were able to recover the stolen vehicle and property. Detectives subsequently interviewed Mr. Judy, who is expected to face several felony charges in multiple jurisdictions.
Mr. Judy remains in custody in Pennsylvania and is awaiting extradition.
Sheriff Mark Touville would once again like to express his sincere gratitude to all of the law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation, apprehension of Mr. Judy, and recovery of the stolen property.
