Immediate Occupancy
HMHA currently has empty units at Penn Crest in Bowerston and Steele Crest in Freeport. Steele Crest has open units for immediate occupancy and Penn Crest will have units available in March. You must income qualify and be at least 50 years of age and/or disabled.

If interested, you may pick up an application at the office located at 82450 Cadiz-Jewett Road Cadiz Ohio. For questions you may call the office at 740-942-8372.

All HMHA offices will be closed on Monday February 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents Day. There was an error on the February Newsletter that stated the offices would be closed on Tuesday February 17, 2026. Our offices will reopen on Tuesday February 17, 2026. If you have emergency issues during this holiday weekend, please call the emergency number given to you at your move-in.

OFFICE CLOSING
All HMHA offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to the weather. We ask that our current residents please be patient as we work on getting snow removal done at our sites. We will get the snow removal done as quickly as possible once the snow subsides and it is safe for maintenance to be on the roads. For your safety, please do not travel out as the roads are treacherous. Stay safe and stay home.

ICYMI - Governor DeWine has declared a State of Emergency for all 88 counties in Ohio for the high-impact winter storm occurring through Monday.

In his statement the governor said "I continue to encourage everyone to stay home unless it's absolutely necessary to be out. We're expecting the roads to be treacherous in some places, and if you crash, first responders may not be able to get to you quickly,"

In addition, the City of Dayton has declared a State of Emergency.

HMHA recently posted a home for rent in the Cadiz area. THIS IS A SCAM! This home is currently occupied by the owner and we ask that you do not approach this home or the owner concerning the property. We apologize to the home owner and the family for this posting and we are willing to work with the authorities to find the person responsible for sending this information to our office. Again, we apologize to the family for the issues that this has caused.
