We apologize for the late notice, but the power to the area of E. Oak Street near N. Kelly Street was restored yesterday evening. The downed lines were safely taken care of. The area is now safe to return to. Thank you!

ATTENTION VILLAGE RESIDENTS!!!

Some of you may be experiencing a power outage. There is currently a power line down on the dead end of E. Oak Street off of N. Kelly Street. Please avoid the area.

The power company has been contacted and it is estimated it will be roughly 2 hours before power is restored in that neighborhood.

We will keep you notified with any changes. Thanks!

Today is a sad day for the Cadott Police Department. Today is Officer Jesse James' last day. Officer James will not be leaving law enforcement. He has accepted the Chief of Police position with the Lake Hallie Police Department. We appreciate the 6+ years Officer James has given this department and our community. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and that he stays safe at his new department!

Even though he won't be far away and will still be in the same County, we will miss his leadership, friendliness, and willingness to serve. Please join us in thanking Officer James for his service to us and congratulating him on his new position!

Today, the Cadott Police Department received a very generous donation from the Cadott American Legion Post 159 and Veterans' Club.

The Cadott American Legion Post donated a brand-new fire-resistant Wi******er gun safe, which holds up to 36 long guns, with an electronic lock, pistol pockets, and movable shelving. This safe will be used to store department guns, ammunition, gun cleaning supplies, and other range supplies.

Chief Bowman and members of the Cadott Public Works Department helped get the safe into the Police Department. We are EXTREMELY grateful for this donation and are glad to have partners like them, who support the police department, so we can better serve our community!!! Thank you!!!

Yesterday, the Cadott Police Department implemented a Chaplain Program in agreement with the Village churches. The approved Police Department Chaplains are:

-Pastor Robert Hopkins (St. John’s Lutheran Church)
-Father William Felix (St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church)
-Pastor Cheryl Miskimem (Cadott United Methodist Church).

So, what exactly is the purpose of implementing a Chaplain Program, you ask???

Chaplains are non-sworn staff members of the department and can be called on by PD staff to assist them and members of the public with the following (including, but not restricted to):

-Death notifications (natural, su***des, homicides, accidents)
-Providing pastoral care when requested
-Providing assistance to crime or accident victims and their families
-Assist alcoholics or drug addicts in obtaining services
-Directing persons in need of shelter, food, or medical services to an agency that can help
-Providing assistance to persons who are confused or emotionally upset or potential su***de victims
-Someone who simply wants to talk over their problems
-Assisting law enforcement or the people they come into contact with in any other function of their ministerial profession, as requested

The Chaplains are willing to donate their time to assist the community and the Police Department. We are grateful and proud for their partnership and assistance!
