Cahokia Heights Police Department is committed to engaging with our community. This past weekend, Officers actively engaged in an animal initiative to help chip dogs in our community. Our Animal Control Unit helped coordinate this wonderful event and several people from the community took advantage of this generous work done by Pet Guardian.

On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, Chief Trice, honored Sergeant First Class Joseph Harrison III, 17 year US Army Veteran with a surprise shadowbox that included his uniform and medals. Joseph and Chief Trice are 4:45am early morning gym partners. Joseph was severely hurt in a vehicle accident while serving active duty and never got the chance to be honored before retirement. Chief Trice read a proclamation to Joseph before revealing the shadowbox in front of the early morning gym community.
