Georgia Highway 93 remains closed between Wilder Road and Macedonia Church Road due to an ongoing officer-involved shooting investigation.

Motorists should expect lengthy delays and seek alternate routes.

INCIDENT ALERT: OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING

At approximately 1:00 a.m., a Grady County Sheriff’s Office deputy was involved in an officer-involved shooting on Georgia Highway 93 between Wilder Road and Macedonia Church Road.

No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident.

The suspect, identified as William Shane Allen, has been taken into custody and is no longer considered a threat to the community.

The incident remains under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

Until further notice Ga 93 north of Wilder Road and South of Macedonia Road is closed to further notice

The Grady County Sheriff's Office is currently on the scene of an active crime scene investigation. Multiple law enforcement agencies are in the area.

We are asking the public to be on the lookout for William Shane Allen, who was last seen wearing a turquoise shirt in Macedonia church road

Do not approach the individual if seen.

For your safety and to allow emergency personnel to work efficiently, please avoid the following roadways until further notice:

* Macedonia Road
