Join us today! Tuesday August 25th at 3:45 for the fall play informational meeting for our show The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime! It’ll have all of the information you need to be part of either the cast or the crew! Directly after that we have our COMEDYSPORTZ open practice! This is for anyone who would like to catch a glimpse of what being on the team is like prior to tryouts!!! This goes from 5 - 7 and will be a truly great way to get familiar with CSZ. Calabasas High-school invites you to our annual Welcome Back Theater Picnic! This is where we announce the fall play and the spring musical for this season!!! It’s a super fun community event where incoming students can get familiar with returning students and meet the people running the program to get ready for this school year! Additionally, there is also a fundraiser at NICK THE GREEK on the same day as the picnic! If you mention CHS Theater or bring the flyer to the store then 15% of what you payed for your order goes towards this year at CHS Theater! It is all day and is a great way to begin supporting our program. Don’t miss out on the reveal of the 2026/2027 show season!!!🎊🎭

Ever wondered what it takes to bring a performance to life? In this immersive camp, students will explore every side of theater—on stage, behind the scenes, and on screen.

Campers will dive into improv to build confidence, creativity, and quick thinking, while also collaborating to create an original short film from start to finish. Along the way, they’ll rotate through key areas of theater—acting, directing, design, and technical production—getting hands-on experience with the many roles that make a show possible.

This camp is designed to feel like a full lineup of theater electives all in one place, giving students the chance to discover new interests, develop a wide range of skills, and gain a deeper understanding of how theater works as a whole. We’ve had an incredible two weeks in the Calabasas High School Theater Program, and there is so much to celebrate!

First, congratulations to all of our students who participated in the recent Shakespeare Festival. Our Varsity team earned 2nd Place Overall, while our JV team brought home 1st Place Overall!

On April 28 & 29, a group of our students traveled to Sacramento to perform their Steel Magnolias scene at the State Capitol for Stand Up 4 Arts Day. They represented our school beautifully and had the opportunity to advocate for arts education with supportive legislators including Senator Ben Allen and Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin.

Then, on Sunday, May 4, we attended the Jerry Herman Awards, where we were thrilled to receive two awards: BEST COSTUME DESIGN and BEST ENSEMBLE!

Congratulations to our entire CHS Theater family — students, teachers, staff, and parents. Thank you for your hard work, passion, and support.

“No Small Parts” award! We have also been nominated for Best Ensemble/Chorus, Best Costume Design, Best orchestra, and Best Production! Special thanks to everyone who made this show possible and thank you
