What a great swim season at the Caldwell Pool!

Filled with giggles, cannonballs, slide splashes, gutterball, swim lessons, pool parties, and so much more — it’s been another great summer at the pool!

A huge thank you to our Pool Managers, Karlee Mandevill and Jenna Sturm, and their awesome guards: Mak Kuchar, Mandi Vanek, Maddy Doyle, Emma Rohrbaugh, Kaylee Rowley, Caedyn Abele, Rory Strecansky, and Keelen Eaton.

And a big thanks to Public Works for all the behind-the-scenes work they do to get the pool ready each year and keep it running all season long!

We know it’s still hot as all get out , but our pool crew is heading back to school — not sure who is more sad, us or them?

The good news is the Splash Pad is still open for the season, so there’s still a place to cool off and make a splash! 💦

Thanks for another great summer, Caldwell! 🏊‍♀️☀️

The middle and high school school blue jay backers will be covering the cover charge for all Caldwell middle and high school kids that attend the night swim tomorrow.

The backers hope the kids have one last fun night before getting back into the school routines.

Planning to Sell in Caldwell?

📢 UPDATE (August 6, 2026): The City is currently reviewing the Mobile Vendor Ordinance as it relates to seasonal produce vendors, cottage food vendors, and other small-scale vendors. While this review is underway, these vendors are still asked to register with the City before operating on public property; however, permit fees for these categories are being temporarily waived pending Governing Body consideration. Food trucks and other commercial mobile vendors remain subject to the current permit requirements. Please contact City Hall with any questions.

As we head into harvest season and community events, the City of Caldwell would like to remind residents and visitors that a Mobile Vendor Permit is required for individuals or businesses selling goods or services from temporary locations on public property within the city.

This includes activities such as:
🍉 Fresh produce
🥖 Baked goods
🌮 Food trucks
🛍️ Crafts and merchandise
🌼 Flowers and other temporary vendors

Vendor permits help ensure everyone is operating safely, fairly, and in compliance with City ordinances while using public spaces.

Current Permit Options:
• Daily Permit – $25
• Monthly Permit – $50
• Annual Permit – $150

If you're planning to set up in a City park or other public location, please contact City Hall before your sale so we can help you obtain the appropriate permit and answer any questions.

The City of Caldwell is committed to improving the appearance, safety, and quality of life throughout our community. The attached Code Enforcement Report provides a snapshot of the cases currently being handled.

It's important to understand that most of these cases are still active and ongoing. Every property is unique and may be at a different stage of the enforcement process. Some owners respond immediately, while others require additional notices, compliance deadlines, Municipal Court proceedings, or other legal steps before a resolution can be reached. Because of these required processes, not every violation can be corrected immediately.

Many of the properties currently being addressed did not become issues overnight. Some have been in deteriorating condition for decades. While we are committed to making progress, these cases must be handled through the legal process, which often requires multiple notices, compliance deadlines, and, in some cases, Municipal Court proceedings. Lasting improvements take time, but every case moved forward is another step toward a cleaner and safer Caldwell.

You can help by reporting potential code violations when you see them. Clear information, photos, and timely reporting allow our Code Enforcement Officer to investigate concerns more efficiently.
