We're excited to announce that the State Library is entering an exciting new chapter, continuing our legacy of innovation to better serve Ohioans today and for generations to come.

WE'RE MOVING!
• Our staff offices are relocating to the heart of Columbus (35 E. Chestnut St.)
• Our invaluable collections are moving to a state-of-the-art archival facility in Gahanna (1831 Deffenbaugh Ct.)

These moves are all about modernization—enhancing services, protecting our collections, improving work-spaces, and ensuring long-term sustainability.

To support this major transition, the State Library will close its Columbus location at the end of the business day on April 14, 2026.

The SEO Consortium had a busy month in March! We are seeing strong growth across the board as we head into spring. Here’s a quick look at the impact:

1 Million+ physical items circulated across our libraries.

284,656 digital titles borrowed through the Ohio Digital Library.

193,123 physical holds placed by our dedicated patrons.

Our November 2025 Consortium At-A-Glance report is now available, and it highlights just how busy our libraries have been!

Thanks to the hard work of staff across 104 systems and 288 locations, we circulated over 1.1 million items last month alone. Whether it's physical books, digital audiobooks, or movies, we are proud to provide access to over 8 million items to patrons across the state.

We are excited to share the latest stats from the SEO Service Center. October was a busy month for our consortium, with over 1 million items circulated across the state. 📚✨

Here is a snapshot of what we achieved together in the last 30 days:
🔹 **Circulation:** 1.04 million+ items checked out
🔹 **New Library Users:** 8,823 new borrowers added
🔹 **Holds Filled:** 201,153 items placed in patrons' hands
🔹 **Support:** Our team answered over 1,700 support tickets and calls!

Borrowers: 692,727 people are using their cards!

Checkouts: You all checked out over 1 million physical items and more than 261,000 digital items!

Notices: We sent out 97,033 SMS notices and 108,583 email notices to keep you in the loop.

Most popular titles this month:

Adult eBooks: Emily Henry and Freida McFadden are topping the charts with their popular books.

Juvenile eBooks: The Wimpy Kid series and Wings of Fire were big hits!

eAudiobooks: The most-circulated audiobook was The Anxious Generation.

Physical Movies: Dune was the most-circulated physical movie.

𝟏.𝟏 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬! That's over a million books, movies, and more finding new homes.⁣

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟔𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬! E-books, audiobooks, and magazines are flying off our virtual shelves. ⁣

𝟓𝟑,𝟎𝟒𝟑 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 to let them know their books were ready for pickup. ⁣

The hottest titles this month included "𝘚𝘶𝘯𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨" by Suzanne Collins and "𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘉𝘪𝘨 𝘉𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦" by Emily Henry. We also saw massive interest in juvenile books like the "𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦" series.⁣
