Ft. Pierre Livestock Auction (Ft. Pierre, SD) hosted the largest reported feeder cattle sale on Friday and the largest sale of the week, marketing 6,198 head. The National Steer Price climbed to $368.01 on Friday, the highest in weeks, because of reduced receipts and a rare increase in 7 wts relative to 8 wts. The average price for 7 wts reached $372.45. Manhattan Commission Company (Manhattan, KS) led Friday's top reported sales with 24 head weighing 731 lbs at $400.00, 10 head weighing 740 lbs at $398.00, and 70 head weighing 719 lbs at $393.25.

Friday's auction volume was led by Ft. Pierre Livestock in South Dakota, which marketed more than 6,100 head. Manhattan Commission Company in Kansas ranked second, while Torrington Markets in Wyoming, Turlock in California, and Tri-State in Virginia rounded out the top five.
