Investigation Report

Burleson County Deputies responded to multiple locations this morning taking statements from numerous witnesses after an incident occurred across portions the county. The incident was wide spread and happed very quickly. After taking initial reports the Investigations unit was called out on scene for assistance. Our investigators reviewed statements and collected evidence from each location and prepared it for testing.

PIO Sgt. Jackson made an early statement to the citizens of Burleson County, “After the incident this morning, our deputies, through their hard work and dedication, conducted a thorough investigation and their initial findings all came to the same conclusion. The unknown substance that was collected at each reported location was in fact “Rain,” or a drizzle if you will. This is something we have not seen in quite some time. The investigation is still ongoing as we have not located the source but will continue searching.”

Deputies urge anyone with information on how this incident occurred to contact The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office as they are prepared to preform whatever ritual necessary to bring the phenomenon back to the county.

For Immediate Release Stolen Skid Steer Recovered in Clay Area

On August 25, 2026, the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stolen rental skid steer. The equipment, a yellow and grey John Deere 333P skid steer owned by Equipment Share, had been parked at the intersection of County Road 443 and FM 50 and was last seen on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Using GPS tracking data provided by the rental company, deputies and the Criminal Investigations Unit located the skid steer in a wooded area on private property in the Clay community near Snook where the skid steer was visible from the road.
A search warrant was obtained and executed. The equipment was positively identified by matching identification numbers and recovered without damage. A thorough investigation was conducted at the scene by CID and the skid steer was then returned to the rental company.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to contact the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office.

Several Structures are affected.

Reminder: We are not currently under a burn ban but stay diligent and be smart about burning! It is dry and we are in triple digit temperatures.

Now that School is back into full swing; We want to take a moment to recognize our School Resource Deputies and thank them for what they do.

They are not just a Sentinel at the door; they are mentors, a friendly face, and a bridge between the children and the community. Every morning they meet our most valuable treasures at the door with a smile, a high five, and acknowledgment of their value. They walk the schools inside and out making sure safety is top priority.

Being a dispatcher takes patience, quick thinking, compassion, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Margie brings all of these qualities to her work each and every day, helping guide people through some of their most difficult and stressful moments.

Must be scam Wednesday!

As a heads up we’ve had a few calls concerning someone claiming to be Lt. Elkins with our Sheriff’s office stating individuals have outstanding warrants and asking for money.

This is a scam. No law Enforcement Agency is going to call asking you to pay anything. Not cash, card, check, bitcoin, or gift cards.

If you get this call, hang up. If you have any doubts you can call us and we can confirm if it’s a scam or potential fraud.
