With the potential for heavy rainfall, flash flooding, and severe weather across our area due to "El Nino," Hurricane Season and whatever other label we can give Texas June weather , now is the time to make sure you and your family are prepared.

🌧️ Stay weather aware and monitor trusted forecasts.
🔦 Keep emergency supplies, flashlights, batteries, and medications on hand.
🚗 Never drive through flooded roadways — Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
⚡ Be prepared for possible power outages and use generators safely outdoors.
📱 Sign up for emergency alerts and keep your devices charged.

A few simple steps today can help keep your family safe tomorrow.

If you encounter flooded roads, downed power lines, or other emergencies, please report them to the appropriate authorities and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather.

Stay safe, Burleson County.

Sliding into the driver’s seat and shifting into drive. Then it’s wheels on the pavement — out on patrol, protecting the roads and communities of Burleson County.

This is the rhythm of law enforcement: preparation, vigilance, and constant readiness. From quiet moments before the shift to actively rolling the streets, our deputies live by a clear standard — Right. Legal. Ethical. — in everything they do.

Patrol isn’t just driving. It’s being the eyes and ears of the county. It’s responding when needed and deterring crime with presence. It’s the backbone of public safety.

Respect to every member of the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office who hits the road shift after shift. Your work keeps our communities safe.

Ladies and Gentleman;

Help us congratulate our new Sergeant for the School Resource Deputies, Drum Roll pleeeeeaaasse................Sergeant G. Brown!! Sgt. Brown has been with the Sheriff's Office for like 9 years, starting in the jail and working his way to the Academy in 2023, and taking up his position as a SRD at Somerville ISD and creating a solid reputation for himself. He became a mentor and someone the students could come too when they needed it. We have no doubt Sgt. Brown will continue with greatness in his career and watch over our county's most precious resource. Congratulations Sir!

Today marks one year since we lost our beloved former Sheriff Gene Hermes. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity he gave me to come out of retirement and serve the great people of Burleson County. Following in his footsteps has been the honor of a lifetime, and I strive every day to uphold the legacy he built. Rest in peace, Sheriff. You’ll never be forgotten.
