River Valley Local Schools The River Valley Local Schools serves students in Marion and Morrow counties. Agriculture and diversified industries form the economic base of the area.

The River Valley Local School District is located in Marion County in North Central Ohio's rich agricultural area. Approximately 80 of Marion County's land area is devoted to farming with corn, soybeans, hogs and dairy cattle the principal products. A number of Marion's industries reflect the importance of agriculture to this community. Bunge, Morral companies, Na-Churs/Alpine Solutions, Ohigro, I

nc., ConAgra and Wyandot, Inc. are among the ag-related industries. Marion's largest industrial employers include Whirlpool Corp. - the largest dryer manufacturer in the world. Other major industrial employers include Silver Line Window Products, Wyandot, Inc., Nucor Steel Marion, Inc. and General Mills. Marion also offers numerous training and education options, including a regional campus of The Ohio State University, Marion Technical College and Tri-Rivers Career Center. To meet the needs of elementary through high school students in Marion County there is one large city school district and four county school districts.

Way to go, Lady Vikes!!

DISTRICT CHAMPS!!! 🏆🥎

What a battle from start to finish, this team fought through EVERY inning and never backed down. The Vikings pulled out a huge 7-6 WALK-OFF win, sealed by Kylie Eastep with a clutch home run to centerfield!

Harper and Danals each had 2 hits, while Addis, Eastep, and Danals all came through with 2 RBIs apiece. Our patience at the plate showed big time, drawing 5 walks and staying disciplined when it mattered most.

BK got the win and dominating with 12 strikeouts!!

So proud of this group their grit, heart, resilience and belief in each other is what made this moment possible. On to the next!

As we wrap up the 2025–26 school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the Class of 2026! On Thursday, May 7, our seniors participated in the second annual Signing Day! 112 students committed to future paths at 53 different colleges, career programs, military branches, and employers. It was an incredible reflection of the many opportunities our students are pursuing and the support system surrounding them here at River Valley!

We also want to thank our community for their continued support of our schools and the students we serve! We couldn't do this without you!
