Dedicated staff strive to encourage each child to be actively involved in his/her education. Our teachers are involved in staff development that emphasizes best practices and meaningful learning experiences for all children. Our programs are designed for students to be engaged in a full complement of classroom opportunities for students to learn "beyond classroom walls" through field trips, commun

ity service, mentorships, internships, community as a school, senior exhibition, and interim experiences. We believe these opportunities connect students to the "real world" and prepare them to become productive, contributing members in a dynamic and diverse world. Caledonia Schools are committed to educating the "whole person." Our goals include graduating students who can demonstrate high levels of academic proficiency and who have the ability to think, problem-solve, communicate, and apply technological and social skills. We strive to make our online platforms safe and effective for all ages. Our pages provide information of public interest to students, parents, and other residents in our community. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’› A LITTLE EXTRA LOVE FOR OUR STAFF
Last week, as our staff and students kicked off a new school year, our PTOs were right there helping make it a great start!

From succulents and fresh flowers to welcome-back treats and thoughtful surprises, our PTOs found so many sweet ways to brighten the first days back. Our PTO volunteers were also busy helping at Open Houses, welcoming families and lending a hand wherever it was needed.

Safety Patrol Moms were even out bright and early, helping families navigate those first-day drop-offs and keeping things safe and moving at Emmons Lake!

We are so thankful for the time, creativity, and care our PTO volunteers pour into our schools. Thank you for always finding ways to support our staff, students and families! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’› FIRST WEEK AT PARIS RIDGE!

It was a great first week at Paris Ridge Elementary! Classrooms were once again filled with students learning, creating, reconnecting with friends, and settling into their new routines.

From our youngest Fighting Scots making new friends and learning their way around, to our fourth graders stepping into their role as leaders of the school, there was plenty of excitement throughout the building.

These smiles say it all. Itโ€™s good to be back, Paris Ridge! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’› OUR EDUCATORS MAKE A DIFFERENCE
What a great way to head into the weekend!

This weekendโ€™s Sun and News features a guest column from local business owner and CCS parent Jeff Bryant titled, โ€œOur public school educators help make Caledonia great.โ€

Jeff highlights the impact our educators have in helping students discover their interests, build skills, and prepare for what comes next, whether thatโ€™s college, technical school, an apprenticeship, or a career right here in our community.

He also shares something we see every day: strong schools and great educators donโ€™t just make a difference for our students. They help make our entire community stronger.

Thank you, Jeff, for taking the time to recognize our educators and the important work happening throughout CCS. And to our teachers and staff, thank you for the difference you make every day! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’› Jeff Bryant Painting

๐Ÿ›๏ธ WELCOME TO THE โ€œME MUSEUM!โ€
Fifth graders in Mrs. Fosterโ€™s and Mrs. Miklusicakโ€™s classes kicked off the year by learning a little more about their new classmates!

Each student created a โ€œMe Museumโ€ by bringing in three items that were meaningful to them and writing about why each one was important. Then, both classes had a chance to explore the museum and learn more about one another.

Along the way, students discovered shared interests, learned what makes their classmates unique, and found out they have a lot more in common than they realized.

What a fun way to build connections and start creating a classroom community! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’œ A SWEET START TO THE SCHOOL YEAR! ๐Ÿ’›

A big thank you to Nothing Bundt Cakes on 28th Street for surprising our CCS staff with a special treat to kick off the new school year!

They generously delivered over 50 Bundt Cakes to our school buildings for staff to enjoy during a very busy first week back. It was such a thoughtful way to show some love to the people who work hard every day to make a difference for our students.

We are so grateful to have local businesses and families who support our schools and our staff. Thank you, Nothing Bundt Cakes, for making the start of the year a little sweeter! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

Summer was a busy one for our Fighting Scots! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

Throughout the summer, the Caledonia Resource Center helped many of our coaches organize and run sports camps for students of all ages. These camps gave our young athletes a chance to stay active, build their skills, connect with coaches and student-athletes, and have some fun along the way.

Thank you to our coaches, athletes, families, and the Resource Center team for making so many summer opportunities possible!
