Hi everyone,
Taste of Gaines is just around the corner, and we need a great team of volunteers to help us pull off one of Gaines Township’s biggest community events!
Taste of Gaines 2026 is Saturday, September 19, and we’re expecting thousands of people to join us for food, entertainment, family activities, and a celebration of our local community.
We have volunteer opportunities on both Friday and Saturday, and we’d love your help!
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 | 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
Friday will be focused on event setup. We especially need volunteers who are comfortable with physical work, including setting stakes, establishing the event perimeter, moving and setting up event materials, and helping prepare the grounds for Saturday.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 | Shifts available from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM and 5:00 PM-9:00 PM (very flexible if you need something else)
There are lots of ways to help, including:
Vendor check-in and directing vendors to their locations
Traffic and parking assistance
VIP Hour support from 3:00–4:00 PM
Guest welcome and event assistance
Beer & Wine Garden volunteers*
Pie Eating Contest and Hot Wing Challenge support
Silent auction assistance
Keeping event areas clean and organized
General event support and troubleshooting
Cleanup after the event, including the grounds and overflow parking areas
You do NOT have to volunteer all day. We’ll have shifts throughout Saturday, so even a few hours of your time would make a huge difference.
Taste of Gaines is a big event, and it truly takes a community to make it happen. Whether you can help us set up Friday, work a shift Saturday, stay for cleanup—or jump in wherever we need you most—we would be incredibly grateful.
