A few years ago, Calera Police Chief Don Hyde had this mounted to the outside wall of the police department to honor and remember victims of domestic violence. It had gotten a little weather-worn over the years since. It has now been restored to its original beauty and luster (maybe even better). Special thanks to Travis Pruitt, Max Vail, and Jason Colvard for your caring and special talents in the restoration.

A software glitch has caused the late fee on our water bills this month that are being mailed to be wrong. Obviously this isn’t correct and don’t worry. Your bill amount is correct, the late fee after the 15th is the only thing affected.
While we’d appreciate if you are willing to pay that amount 🤣 you are not going to be charged that amount and that will not be applied after the 15th. Apologies for the issue.

!!!!Attention!!!!

In about 30 minutes we are going have to shut the water off to Allen Lane, Michelle and 8th street. The softball field will also be affected. We need to make an emergency repair to a water line. Water should be off less than a few hours.

Although the highway is clear currently, construction still continues to our south at Colbert. Please continue to use caution. Getting home to your family or making it to your destination is more important than how fast you can get there, take a few extra minutes as you are traveling and stay safe.
