I’m running to serve as Calhoun County Commissioner District 1, which includes communities such as:
📍 West & South Anniston, Blue Mountain, Hobson City, Lenlock, McClellan, Pelham Heights, Tyler Hill, Cobb Town, West End, and Thankful!
This campaign is about making sure Calhoun County’s District 1 is seen, heard, and no longer left behind. Every district faces issues, but those issues are overly concentrated in District 1:
🏚️ Blight & vacant housing:
• District 1 makes up about 18% of the county’s population, but carries more than 32% of the county’s vacant housing burden.
🐾 Strays & animal control support:
• Our neighborhoods continue to see nearly 80% of all stray animal calls — residents & animals alike deserve stronger partnerships and real solutions.
🗑️ Litter & environmental concerns:
• Clean neighborhoods are not a luxury. They are part of public safety, property value, and basic quality of life.
🏘️ Problem rental properties & housing accountability:
• Too many families live near properties that are poorly maintained, neglected, or allowed to drag down entire blocks — while others are renting at the mercy of negligent landlords. With homeownership at only 55% in our district compared to 70% countywide, we need fair but firm accountability that protects residents, homeowners, renters, and neighborhoods.
📚 Youth, education & opportunity:
• Our children need safe streets, strong schools, positive outlets, and real pathways to opportunity. If we want a stronger District 1, we have to invest in families and young people — especially those in our Anniston City School System.
This is not about politics as usual. It is about doing the . Championing the everyday concerns that people bring up at church, at the gas station, in front yards, and dinner tables.
I love this district. I believe in our people. We are working hard to earn your support, your trust, and your vote on November 3, 2026.
No neighborhood left behind. No family forgotten. No issue too small when it affects the people we serve.
