Here are our numbers for May 2026. Pictured here is our main engine and we are at risk of not having it much longer. While this page will not be getting political, we do need all the community assistance we can get. This engine is a 2001, which is past normal retirement age for first out fire apparatus. At present we have no resources to be able to upgrade our equipment. We do have older trucks that can fill in the gap if needed but they are difficult to find parts for and keep in service. Ultimately this does affect the cost of homeowner's insurance.
We are grateful to serve our community and are hopeful to continue to do so for years to come!

Let’s talk honestly for a minute.

What’s the biggest thing hurting firehouse culture right now?Not the politically correct answer.

The real answer.

Lazy leadership?
Entitlement?
Toxic senior firefighters?
Training standards dropping?
Ego?
Lack of accountability?
People forgetting this is a brotherhood?

Drop it in the comments.

The fire service doesn’t get better by pretending problems don’t exist.

This 1992 snapshot brings hope amidst our current turmoil. Ozie Moss, beaming with pride, holds the first firefighter of the year plaque. His unwavering commitment to our department spanned 55 years, from 1954 to 2009. Ozie's legacy is mirrored in his brother, Willie Moss, who served until 1989. We honor the memories of Junior Rudder and Lester Manning, whose influence endures even a year after their passing.
